Last SLLS run of the season completed

We finished our run season today, completing our last scheduled run in cool fall weather. The morning started out cool (50s) and breezy without much sun. I thought we wouldn't get many people to show up, but by noon they started coming out. By the end of the day we gave rides to 375 people who were generous with their money. Ax hauled passengers with his steamer, we used the club diesel for the rest. The only other engine was John T's elderly Atlantic, which after fixing a problem with his injector ran well although he did not haul any public
passengers. George cleaned the workbench off which after the summer really needed it.

Overall, a good day! Next we will have our 'boiler blowdown' private run at the end of the month, then it will be time to put engines up for the winter.
