A new engine gets its first steamup

Zach Mikko steams up his new 2-8-2 Mikado locomotive for the first time on 30-Aug-2009. Built by father Tim, this locomotive, two years in the making had a lot of firsts this pleasant Sunday - First fire ever in the boiler, first pull of the throttle, first lap around the track, first passengers. This engine, the same design I am building, was a fine runner from the start, showing no mechanical issues or boiler/fire problems which typically are associated with the 'birthing' of a new locomotive.
