Veterns weekend

Ths typical St. Louis fall warm/cold cycle found us warm this weekend. Out at the track we completed a storage rack and moved all the spare rail to it from the sawhorses, and freed up space in the car barn. Max fetched the ball about 178 times before he tired out. Later that evening at the annual St. Louis Live Steamers business meeting officers elections were held and I was elected to another two-year presidential term. Sunday I put the flowers to bed, mowed the lawn for the last time, cleaned and put the lawnmower away for the season. I listened to an Edward R. Murrow broadcast report of a raid over Germany from WWII. I was struck by how much different his first-person reporting of the war is compared to today.
