With the book cases gone, the room looks bigger. The livingroom has been re-arranged. I am trying out new layouts before this room is refinished. 18-Mar-2011 I don't know if this should be part of the Elevator project or House improvement. Dad installed a much needed basement stairwell light, something we forgot to put in last year when we re-did the ceiling. The unfinished door is installed. The new door is 70% window. I finally have some light in that corner of the room! The builder also burried the door frame in concrete, guarnteeing the wood would rot. We filled the old frame holes in. I had to order a custom door because my current door was 1 inch shorter than the standard height. When we took the old door our, guess what we found? the missing 1 inch. 15-Mar-2011 New Front door installation. View of closet that Mom & Dad helped me install and finish, and the guest desk. The chalkboard had to stay. March 2011 My office moved into the smaller room and was also refinished, repainted, re-trimmed. March 2011 The newly reshinished, repainted, refurbished guest bedroom. December 2010. New Christmas tree all decorated. New toybox to put my trains in.
