20-July-09 Checking the 1/2" brass pipe bend against the drawing. Lacking a proper pipe bending machine to put the 120 degrre bend in, we ended up annealing the brass with a MAPP gas torch, putting a piece of 7/16" steel rod inside the 1-5/16" end to keep it straight, sliding a 1/2" tubing bending spring over it and then manually bending it over a piece of 2-5/16" round stock held in the vice. While this technique worked okay, and it did not collapse or kink the tube, getting an accurate bend is not possible.
